150 years of Liechtensteinklamm
Anniversary 1876 to 2026
150 years ago, the Liechtenstein Gorge was opened to visitors and has since become one of the most impressive natural spectacles in the Alps. To mark this anniversary, guests can look forward to a truly special experience.
The history of its development dates back to 1875, when committed locals from the Pongau region began the work. It was only with the support of Prince Johann II of Liechtenstein that the project could be completed. The gorge owes not only its completion but also its name to him. In 1876, it was opened to visitors as the Liechtenstein Gorge.
