St. Johann kids' week in winter
JoKiWo winter edition: 30 March to 3 April 2026
The varied programme will delight children and young people alike. There is something for everyone: fairy tale lovers, freestyle cruisers, technology freaks and quiz enthusiasts.
And this year we are excited to announce a very special highlight:
HEAVYSAURUS is coming to St. Johann on April 2nd, 2026!
The popular rock dinosaurs will deliver a spectacular children’s rock concert as part of JoKiWo
JoKiWo is entering its next round! From 30 March to 3 April 2026, children and families can once again look forward to a varied week full of adventures: take a look behind the scenes of the mountain railway, roast marshmallows on a fairy tale hike, learn action-packed tricks on Freeski Day or laugh at the puppet theatre. On Thursday, an exciting JOregional shopping day with a scavenger hunt awaits, before the week comes to a grand finale on Friday with the big Children's Olympics and award ceremony.

Behind the scenes - Monday, 30.03.
Discover the cable car - on Monday, 30th March from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm, Snow Space Salzburg.
Discover the cable car up close. On 30th March, inquisitive visitors have the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the Alpendorf cable car. Little explorers will be introduced to the technology behind the lift in a simple way.
JOregional Shopping Day - Tuesday, 31.03.
Shopping day with treasure hunt, on Tuesday, 31st March from 10 am. to 4 pm in the St. Johann town centre.
Great shopping offers await you at the Family Shopping Day, on 31st March in St. Johann. An adventurous scavenger hunt for the little guests will provide entertainment.
Start: tourist information, NO registration necessary.
Fairytale Walk - Tuesday, 31.03.
The children hike together with a storyteller through the alpine village.
When they reach their destination, a campfire invites the young hikers to roast marshmallows and enjoy a cozy time together.
Meeting point: Oberfrosthof Alm, Alpendorf, 5.00 pm (walking time: approx. 30 minutes).
Austrian Ski Federation Freeski Day - Wednesday, 16.04.
Wednesday, 1st April from 9 am to 4 pm at Snow Park Alpendorf.
On 16th April, the Austria Freeski Days will make a stop in St. Johann. In the Snow Spark Alpendorf, the little shredders will receive supervised coaching from trained coaches throughout the day.
The main target audience is children aged 8 to 14 years. Ski ticket required!

"Kasperltheater" - Wednesday, 01.04.
Wednesday 01st April at 3 pm and 4 pm at kultur:treff Haus der Musik.
NO registration necessary.
HeavySaurus Concert - Thursday 02.04.
Dino metal for the whole family!
Four dinosaurs and a dragon, real live music, heavy riffs, confetti, showers of sparks, and tons of interactive fun.
HEAVYSAURUS bring metal to a place where no one expects it: straight to the kids!
Their shows are colorful, heartwarming, spectacular, and absolutely child-friendly – a special experience for little and big metalheads from ages 3 to 99.
On April 2nd, 2026, the dinos are coming to St. Johann, with new music and new power, right in the middle of Snow Space Salzburg!

Kids' Olympics - Friday, 03.04.
Kids' Olympics with subsequent award ceremony on Friday, 3rd April at 1pm, Snow Space Salzburg.
Big Kids' Olympics with the St. Johann Ski Schools. On 3rd April at 1pm in the area of the Alpendorf Cable Car station.
