Pure family fun: JoKiWo reloaded from 4 to 7 August 2026

JoKiWo has been a highlight for the whole family for many years. This year, Children’s Week is taking place once again – in collaboration with ORF KiDS under the slogan: JoKiWo Festival meets ORF KiDS!

Here is an overview of the varied programme for the 2026 St. Johann Children’s Week:

Family concert: ‘Hansel and Gretel’, on Tuesday 4 August 2026

The JoKiWo festival kicks off with a performance of “Hansel and Gretel” by the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
This family concert allows children to experience the magic of classical music in a playful way.

JoKiWo Festival with ORF kids – Thursday, 6 August 2026

Weather update for the JoKiWo Festival with ORF KiDS!

Due to the weather forecast, we’ll be starting earlier tomorrow.
🕗 New times: 8.30 am to 12.00 pm
🚡 The Alpendorf gondola lift will be running from 8.00 am; all stations are open.

✨ Highlights:
🎩 Magic show with Zwicki at 10.00
🐶 Dog dance show at 11.30

All children up to their 15th birthday can ride the gondola up the Geisterberg for free.

Keep an eye on the weather conditions on the mountain – thunderstorms are very likely this afternoon!

On 6 August 2026, the festival area on the mountain (right next to the Alpendorf gondola lift’s mountain station) will be transformed into a magical place full of entertainment and adventure for the whole family. Children will be immersed in a paradise of inflatable play areas, creative stations and much more.

The main area at the JoKiWo Festival is situated on the mountain, right next to the top station of the Alpendorf gondola lift.

All children up to their 15th birthday receive a free up-and-down ticket for the Alpendorf gondola lift and the Geisterberg.

Puzzle Rally, on Friday 7 August 2026

An action-packed treasure hunt through the town centre of St. Johann, presented by JOregional. Children can look forward to an exciting treasure hunt through the shops, with a surprise gift waiting for them at the end.
