During the summer, the Alpendorf impresses with its unique and beautiful mountain scenery. Get out of the hotel and into the mountains. Literally. The Alpendorf gondola lift takes guests directly from the hotel to the “Geisterberg” mountain or to countless hiking trails and to the breathtakingly beautiful reservoir lake on the Sonntagskogel. Perfect public transportation connections enable trips to the entire province of Salzburg. The hiking bus of Salzburger Sportwelt takes you for example to lake “Jägersee” in Kleinarl for only 1 €.
The highlight of Alpendorf - the GeisterbergThe Geisterberg on the Gernkogel mountain in St. Johann Alpendorf, an adventure park for young and old explorers, is the absolute highlight in summer. Accessible with the Alpendorf gondola lift, the excursion destination offers, in addition to 40 adventure stations, a 360-degree mountain panorama of the surrounding summit landscape. It is only half an hour walk from the Geisterberg to the new large reservoir lake at the Sonntagskogel.
