St. Johann in Salzburg is around 60 kilometres from the city of Salzburg, and just under 200 kilometres from Munich. Main roads and motorways from both cities lead to the region. If you are travelling via the motorway, you will need to purchase an Austrian motorway vignette. If you are travelling from the southern parts of the country, the A10 Tauern Motorway will also take you to St. Johann im Pongau. Coming from the east, take the A1 West Motorway. From the west, heading from Innsbruck, take the A12 Inntal motorway first, exiting at Wörgl. From there, you’ll travel along federal roads through the magnificent mountain landscape of Tyrol, eventually reaching the beautiful province of Salzburg.

Via the A10 Tauern Motorway, take the Pongau junction exit, then follow the B311 Pinzgau federal road via Bischofshofen for approximately 5 kilometres to St. Johann.
