Giant Ice World
The world's largest cave! Experience a unique natural spectacle of rock and ice. The largest ice cave in the world in Werfen is open from the beginning of May to the end of October. The guided cave tours start right at the cave entrance. The first guided tour takes place after visitors arrive. The guided tours always run at the full and half hour instead, and more frequently if required. During the visit of the cave, covers a climb of 134 meters in altitude. Sturdy shoes and warm clothing is recommended. The temperature is generally below freezing even in summer.
Castle Hohenwerfen

They are located on the outskirts of the town of Krimml in the National Park Hohe Tauern. With approximately 400,000 visitors per year, the Krimml Waterfalls are amont the top 10 most visited sights of Austria. The refreshing mists of the Krimml Waterfalls amidst the fantastic scenery of the National Park Hohe Tauern will inspire young and old. A 10 - 15 minutes walk will take you from the parking lot to the lowest waterfall. From there, the waterfall trail, running along a serpentine path, leads up to the top waterfall (walking time approx. 1.15 h) and further into the Krimml Achen Valley. An imposing Alpine road! The most famous Alpine road in Austria takes you to the heart of the National Park Hohe Tauern, Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3,789 m), and its glacier, the Pasterze. The Alpine road is one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Salzburger Land. On 48 kilometers of the well-developed high Alpine road, with 36 bends, a height climb up to 2,504 meters, a nature and driving experience of a special kind awaits you.
